WORLD FOLKLORE UNION I.G.F. is an organization founded in 1949, authorized by French Republic (Permission through the Ministry of Interior 29 September 1953; registered with the “Prefecture des Alpes Marittimes” 28-10-1953; published in “Journal Officiel” of the French Republich 28-11-53; alteration through the extraordinary General Meeting, held in Nice 12-01-1957, newly published in “Journal Officiel” of the French Republic 16-06-1957)
The associations only with folkloristic groups can enter in IGF.
The aims of IGF is to secure the relationship between the National Federations of the folklore groups in the different countries.
IGF works to draw peoples together with enthusiasm for folk culture.
