A special moment of the I.G.F. Executive Board meeting in Voiron – France was the inauguration of the World Folklore Union social-historian office, which took place both in the presence of administrative officials in the south-east of France and President I.G.F. and official delegations from countries members of the World Folklore Union.
Have spoken in opening of the event:
Mayor of Voiron, Julien Polat, gave a short but comprehensive speech on the importance and honor that the city has, given the fact that it houses the headquarters of the World Folklore Union.
Also Mr. Polat wished to reward I.G.F. President – Prof.Dr. Dorel Cosma – for the promotion and preservation of cultural activity in the world by granting the certificate of honor of the town Voiron – France;
Chokri Badreddine, the regional councilor from Voiron filled the speech of the mayor by saying that the folkloric tradition rooted in Voiron since the establishment of the organization – in 1947 – when countries like France and Italy have established the creation of I.G.F. , defining the moment as an historical one both for France and for the town of Voiron.
Michele Bonneton, deputy of France also highlighted the importance of preserving and promoting cultural and folkloric heritage folk worldwide.
President of the Federation of folklore in France and also president adjunct of the World Folklore Union thanked to the entire cultural delegations I.G.F. for the presence and for great cooperation exhibited by.
The concluding word was reserved for the I.G.F. President, Prof.Dr Dorel Cosmam who thanked the organizers for their efforts to get an official office in the very center of the city of Voiron. On this occasion he wanted to congratulate the entire I.G.F. delegation for all cultural activities organized worldwide in both previous years and for events to be organized in 2016.
In closing program took place also an important event, the book release of the writer Dorel Cosma with “Biletul de călătorie” and “Flight”, which were presented for the auditor in English and German by Doris Gîța.
During the meeting were presented a number of cultural projects that will be organized by the Culture Palace Bistrita – Romania. On these events were invited to cooperate and participate a number of ensembles and groups from Europe and outside Europe. In the spirit of this collaboration, in Voiron-France will be present this summer three exhibitions of artists from C.C.M Bistrita and also on the international folklore festival in Voiron – France will attend the folk ensemble “Cununa de pe Someș”.
At the international folklore events like “Nunta Zamfirei” and “Oktoberfest” has already announced the participation of Spain, Italy, France, Argentina and Israel.
It was successful also for the organizing of the religious choral music “Bartolomeu Anania” where we expect international participation.
“It’s an historical event, this space that we own now officially, we want to turn it into a place of promoting cultural folk traditions worldwide”
