In Satu Mare, Romania, a cultural event of great international resonance took place between May 5-8. The “I.G.F. Gold Star- Ex Oscar-2023” . Gala is the event that brings to the audience people of great value in the field of folkloric culture who, carrying out an intense activity on a national and international level, are now rewarded for their effort and permanent concern to support art and culture.
Every year this important prize is awarded and the ceremony is organized in one of the member countries of the World Folklore
Union-I.G.F. The I.G.F Executive Office decided that the event will take place in Romania, in Satu Mare.
GOLDSTAR GALA 2023
The I.G.F. Gala Gold Star took place at the “Poesis” Complex in a particularly elegant setting, marked by
the national flags of the participating countries. Trophies, diplomas, awards attracted the eyes of everyone present from the beginning.
The event began with the singing of the Romanian National Anthem and the speech of Mr. Dorel Cosma and Robert Laszlo,
invited on stage by presenter Doris Nedelea.
After informing the public about the event and how the awards were made and awarded, the “Artist Emeritus” distinction was
awarded to the artists: Nicolae Mureșan, Petrică Mureșan and Maria Luigia Martino (Italy). Then it was on to the I.G.F. awards.
Gold Star-Ex. Oscars that were awarded by representatives of the I.G.F after the presentation of a laudatio by each Federation
president.

The evening continued with the awarding of two special titles in the I.G.F artistic movement. So, the title of SENATOR was
granted to Mr. Benito Ripoli- Italy- deputy president and president of F.I.T.P. The title of SENATOR – post mortem – was
awarded to the former general secretary of the I.G.F. ROSEN BOGDANOV, the award being received by his wife, Krasimira, and son Boris.
The presence of the I.O.V. delegation at the event in Satu Mare, was again noticed by the exchange of gifts and awards offered to each other by the I.G.F. and I.O.V. managements. The award moments were interspersed with superb musical minutes supported
by established artists Maria Luigia Martino (soprano) and Constantino Michelini (tenor) – Italy, accompanied by instrumentalist Nicușor Daroși.
The presentation of the event was provided professionally, in Romanian and English, by Mrs. Doris Nedelea. The end of the meeting was marked by the joy of the laureates and the delegates who contributed to the rproject of this true event of the year.
