Satu Mare County Council Meeting & I.G.F – I.O.V Collaboration Protocol

The Satu Mare County Council, the Satu Mare County Center for the Conservation and Promotion of Traditional Culture and the Satu Mare Prefect’s Institution were actively involved in the organization of these days, in addition to the I.G.F Executive Office and the Romanian National Folklore Association.

16 countries responded to the invitation, Satu Mare becoming a cultural capital for a few days. The beginning of these events was marked by a special meeting at the headquarters of the Romanian National Folklore Association.

The President of the World Folklore Union I.G.F. Prof. Dorel Cosma, PhD. and Robert Laszlo first vice president of the National Folklore Association of Romania and director of the County Center for the Conservation and Promotion of Traditional Culture Satu Mare, greeted the guests present at the event and presented a brief picture of the cultural life in this part of the country.

The special moment of this morning was the presentation and signing of the collaboration protocol between the two major world cultural organizations: I.G.F and I.O.V. On this occasion, the presidents of the two major world organizations presented the activity and evolution of the organization they lead, highlighting the importance of international collaboration in the spirit of peace and friendship. In addition, the six points of the protocol regarding exactly the expansion of these collaborations through direct involvement.

 

Dorel Cosma and I.O.V president Dr. Ali Abdula Khalifa signed this protocol to the applause of all the participants. President Ali Abdula Khalifa thanked for inviting the I.O.V delegation and expressed his desire for a real and lasting collaboration.

The President of the County Council -Satu Mare Potoki Csaba and the prefect Radu Roca invited the present delegates to a meeting in the Administrative Palace. To begin with, the leaders of the I.G.F. were invited to the office of the president of the County Council: Dorel Cosma-president and his deputies, Nicolas Charlety and Benito Ripoli.  An exchange of views took place, after which all delegates were invited to the Council Chamber. They were all welcomed by the president of the County Council and by the prefect of the county. I.G.F president Dorel Cosma and director Robert Laszlospoke on behalf of their organizers.

 

The county leadership was informed about the I.G.F.’s activities and the important I.G.F.- I.O.V. collaboration document, signed this morning in Satu Mare.
