FOR THE FIRST TIME IN THE HISTORY OF SATU MARE COUNTY – ROMANIA, IN MARCH WILL BE HELD THE MEETING OF THE WORLD FOLKLORE UNION (I.G.F.)

The Festival of International Folklore Competition “Rozmarin în colțul mesii” at the 7th edition and the I.G.F. Caravan (World Folklore Union)

The County Center for the Conservation and Promotion of the Traditional Culture Satu-Mare, with the support of the Satu-Mare County Council, in partnership with the National Folklore Association of Romania, and the World Folklore Union (IGF), organizes March 20-22, 2020, the VII of the edition of the International Folklore Competition Festival “Rozmarin în colțul mesii” and the IGF Caravan (World Folklore Union).

Saturday, March 21, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. in the Small Sitting Room of the Satu-Mare County Council, will be held for the first time in the history of the county, the meeting of the World Folklore Union (IGF), with 9 countries from all over the world (Vietnam, Russia, France, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Poland, Belarus, Slovakia), in front of the representatives of the National Folklore Association of Romania.

Sunday,22 March 2020, from 5:00 p.m . in the Great Hall of the Satu Mare House of Culture will take place the contest of vocal interpretation, the jury being made up of important personalities of cultural and artistic life, specialists in the field of research, culture and popular tradition from Romania and abroad.

From 18:00, the Laureates Gala and the Artistic Show will take place. The program will be performed by folklore performers from: BULGARIA – Tatyana Stoyanova, France – Corentine Perriere, Slovakia – Dajana Novotna, and BELARUS – Yanchytskaya Lizaveta; as well as artists from Romania: Nicolae Sabău, Petrică Mureșan, Antoanela Ferche Buțiu, Ioana Pricop, Anca Branea, Mărioara Sigheartău, Nelu Șopterean, Vlad Jurchiș, Diana Topan, the Folklore Assembly of the County “DORURI SĂTMĂRENE” and the Folklore Assembly “Flori de Maramureș”.

The musical accompaniment will be provided by the orchestra “Rapsodia Bihoreană” – prof. Liviu Buțiu.
