25.02.2022. The World Folklore Organization (IGF) promotes peace and cultural values around the world. We hereby express our disagreement and concern about the invasion of the Ukraine leading to loss of liffe and destruction of irreplaceable values of the world heritage. We strongly support our colleagues from the Ukrainean Folklore Federation and we assure them of all the assistance we can offer. I thank the National Folklore Federations of Romania, Italy, France, Israel, Switzerland, Lithuania and Poland who with great openness and speed have already expressed their decision to help their colleagues in Ukraine, in case the refuge becomes the only chance for survival and freedom. We mobilize and organize the necessary conditions. It is our way of expressing our humanism and our true cultural brotherhood.
